Alfred Pennyworth is from Batman. He serves as a butler, caretaker, nurse, and mother figure for the entire Bat Clan.

Before Arrival

Alfred had a rather adventurous youth: he was an actor, a soldier, a medic, and, of course, a butler in England. He was knighted for his service to the British Empire before moving to America and working for the Wayne family. When Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed, Alfred became Bruce's guardian and raised him as best he could. And when Bruce Wayne became Batman, Alfred made no attempt to hide his disapproval, but helped him in his quest as best he could.

Alfred played a similar role for Bruce's adopted family when they joined his quest. He can be relied on for excellent cooking, a kind ear, and a sharp tongue when his family is bleeding.

After Arrival

Alfred began working for Bruce Wayne as soon as he arrived. When Bruce eventually disappeared, he took on the role of caretaker for the massive Wayne Manor, as he had when Bruce had disappeared back home.
