Artemis is Lyssa's older sister, and eldest of the three James children, she was supposed to join the time agency and for a time did, though this was until the death of their brother. This point things fell apart between Artie and Lyssa, Lyssa went back to the time agency, Artie went her own way and not back to the agency specifially or rather not officially. They never really contacted each other again and never felt any strong loss between the pair of them for this.

She still worked for the agency doing jobs that needed to be done on the more remote planets that weren't favoured or considered menial jobs.
