Beth Silver

Page history last edited by Mandy 1 yr ago

Beth Silver is an OC from an Underworld game.

Background

Beth is a lycan.. More specifically, a were-swan. Every full moon, she turns into a swan. As such, she seeks out protection for those helpless hours.

She has not always made the best decisions when seeking out protectors, and has been burned for it before.

Origin

Journal entry June 3rd, 2004

I was changed fifty years ago, by my lover. I watched over her those nights, the moonlight shimmering on those soft feathers. Alleta was a swan; a 'were-swan' (though, that still sounds ridiculous to say). Of course, there was little I could do to protect her during those nights. I was only human. So she had another. A werewolf. Kael was her guardian and her lover. I can't say I wasn't jealous. There were times I wanted to leave. But I didn't. She changed me, and then I needed Kael's protection too. I was there when another lycan killed her. Sometimes I still see her in my dreams, blood pouring over her pure white feathers, her graceful neck broken, her limp body hanging from the bastard's mouth.

Kael couldn't help her, but he saved me. Alleta made him promise to watch over me, and he has, for the past fifty years. We must have both been in love with her, because it was nearly five years before we slept together. Even then, I didn't forget, and I don't think he did either. That made it easier when I saw him die. This time caught by a vampire, pierced by silver.

The vampire never fired on me. Perhaps the creature had a shred of decency. Perhaps her dead heartstrings were moved by the image of a swan mourning over the body of her lover. Or perhaps the bitch was just out of bullets.

The next day I was in London. I have one month to find a replacement for Kael.

Previous Game

In Born to Darkness, she arrived in London and met a werewolf named Andrew. He took her in and cared for her. He was an assassin/torturer for one of the lycan rulers. (London was divided into four quadrants; two vampire, two lycan) He became very protective of her, which was what she needed. Unfortunately, on the full moon there was an accident. The night was fine, but the next morning as they returned to their human bodies, she went to him. The wolf wasn't completely gone, and he attacked her, shredding her shoulder. She ran away, and then found herself here.

Current Updates

When she first arrived, she was still in shock from her injury. It had apparently healed (leaving scars), but she was still suffering the mental trauma. Remus Lupin (younger) took her in, and he and Padfoot looked after her for a while. At first Sirius was rather put out about having to wear clothes around the house, but he got used to having her around. She did a lot of work around the house and made sure to go out and give them plenty of 'alone time'.

They let her come along for their full moon activities, affording her a certain protection. Not that she really needed it here, but she still felt safest when she had stronger people around. Just in case.

At first she started flirting with Teddy Lupin, and they dated casually for a bit. But when she realized that he had a crush on Rose Weasley too, she grew very uncertain of their relationship and broke it off. She was afraid he would change his mind and she wouldn't have a protector. It was a pretty messy break, and left her feeling very vulnerable.

Then she started seeing Peter Pettigrew. At first, she was mainly hoping to secure protection from Peter's friends. She already had it, but dating Peter seemed to make her position a little more solid. Later she started to genuinely like Peter. James Potter didn't like it much, which still upsets Beth sometimes. She wished all of Peter's friends liked her, but she couldn't get everything she wanted.
