Darius Summers is an AU child of Scott and Emma Summers.  He is the middle child of three.  Unlike his two brothers, Darius' powers are latent, and he has no indicators of mutation at all.  He is, however, incredibly smart, and a passing tactician.  He was educated by Emma, Hank, and various other smart people for his entire life, and has been living in the new X-men headquarters for the past six years, ever since the catastrophy that brought the mutants back into the spotlight.

Not that he's going to talk about it with anyone.  He prefers to keep his problems to himself, since other people have a lot of problems, and don't need his added on.  Despite all this, he tries to be personable, and generally succedes.  There are just many times when he is too serious for his own good.

He is short, with blonde hair and blue eyes.  His build is light and wiry, though he's got muscle, despite his slight frame.  He is a proud and honorable young man, trying to do his best in the world.  Though part of him is very glad that he's only helping the X-men in an adminstrative sense, since he's not sure he would last very long in a fight.

Deep down, Darius is a little jealous and a little relieved that he was born without powers.  He feels a little alienated when he sees his brothers doing things that he can't do, and when he sees the news reports about the mutant scare.  But at the same time, he knows that having powers is a huge responsibility, and one that he doesn't really want to deal with.

Darius, also called Dare, is, however, not afraid of using the physical prowress he does posess.  He's a more than adequate fighter, and something of an acrobat, due to his lighter build.  He enjoys sports, especially soccer, and was even contemplating trying out for a professional team, before the trouble started up again.  Now he knows that no one will believe that he's not a mutant, even with tests, and wouldn't care even if they did believe.  Beside which, he's just as aggressive in business as on the field, and both have their high points for him.  After all, he can manage business in his pajamas, mostly.  Which he does quite a bit.

Darius has made a good niche for himeslf in UTR.  He is currently friends with a younger version of his father, and an erotic model who he occasionally has sex with named Naamah (who was taken over by Sinister for a time).  He has a good relationship with all of his fmaily members, at least good enough that there's no real fighting.  He's dating Ophelia, and quite excited at the prospect of going to the University of Hammer Bay on a full scholarship, possibly with an eye to join the Genoshan space project.
