History

Declan was a calm, quiet baby. He laughed often and cried little. He was passive and easily entertained. He could sit for hours in his play pen or on a blanket on the floor. He had great love for books, and even as a toddler he did not rip or scribble in his books. He could keep a book for years and it would still look brand new.

He showed a thirst for knowledge and understanding early on, and pondered the big questions in life. He was saddened by injustice, and touched deeply by sadness in others. Perhaps contradictory, Declan developed a tendency to manipulate the people around him to get what he wanted. It was a natural thing for him, he didn't ever sit around to plot manipulation, it came to him naturally.

Declan is an intense person, and very demanding in a personal relationship. He does not accept failure well, and he can not handle criticism. He is not outwardly violent, but when upset he can beat himself up with the best of them. He is very in tune with energy, and thus emotion. He occasionally needs to get away, and has been known to embark on a personal sort of vision quest, disappearing for days at a time, returning only after he's cleansed himself of the negative energy inside himself.

Declan is one of the Gifted. He is in the early stages of coming in to his power. He is confused, he doesn't really know what is happening. He has the Gift of Sight. At the time he drops down into UTR, he is prone to hearing whispers in the dark, flashes of images from the minds of people around him. He doesn't know what it means, or how to control it.  He is a Level 1 as shown below.

To borrow the info from the game Declan originated in, he has the power of Visium: These are our thinkers, our information keepers, our mind spies if you will. What starts out as a small whisper of information gleaned from someones mind turns into a maelstrom of thoughts you can't control loud and constant. But as you grow in power, you can fine tune it and when blinks of thoughts and pictures begin to take shape, you are their interpreter.

lvl 1 - Uncontrolled thoughts, whispers, and images from other peoples mind. Human lacks control over it or a filter. Can hear it all without an ability to block it out.

lvl 2 - Can filter thoughts out and in but has the addition now of visions and images when they touch someone. Flashes of thier memories or past. Uncontrolled.

lvl 3 - Has complete control over thoughts and can block all out or let one in, or a few..its very specific. Images and vision are still hard to control, but lessen with a growing ability to block them out.

lvl 4 - No one can lie to you, you can hear their thoughts, know thier past, and basically have them all figured out with a touch.
