History

Gatlin was an all American boy, the shcool's football star, destined to go places. He had a great personality, book and street smarts, and he was all grace and fire on the field. He was also very popular, and attended many parties. Well into his senior year of high school, Gat was attending a party, lots of loud music, sex, and drinking. Fire broke out, determined later to be caused by a cigarette dropped on the floor. Panic ensued, many people, Gatlin included, were trampled. Gat lay unconscious on the floor, and was carried out by a fireman. He recovered, for the most part, but not without his fair share of scars, most notably his right hand was crushed and therapy has been ineffective at helping him regain mobility. He is addicted to pain killers, and has developed an unhealthy obsession with vampires. He allows vampires to drink from him, hoping that he will be offered the same one day, because he believes vampire blood will heal his injuries.

Johanna Barker, a long time friend of gat's, has introduced him to the art of painting portraits. He has still not managed to convince Malakai to turn him.
