Jade Sha Cortez is an original character. She is the daughter of Libby and Sha Gojyo.

Background

She is the daughter of Libby and Sha Gojyo. They split up shortly before/after she was born (it was complicated), and soon after Gojyo disappeared. So she never knew him growing up. She grew up with her mom and Ana Lucia Cortez, who got married when she was pretty young. She was also really close with Cho Hakkai, who she calls Tousan (Daddy, in Japanese).

Growing up, she was close with Rebecca House and Jaime Cox, who were the same age. They went to school together. Bree Dennison was older than them, and babysit frequently. She also spent a lot of time with Honda Kyoko and Honda Tohru, because of her mothers' relationship with Kyoko.

She was sort of skittish and shy around Mark House, Becca's older brother, which might have been considered a crush, though she completely denies this. Another crush (she seems to fall for older men) was a friend of her dad's, Uzamaki Naruto. He was way older, though.. almost thirty. But he was cute, and funny, and always really sweet to her.

Current Updates

Jade is 15. She is in school at Taunton in London. She was SO EXCITED when Gojyo showed up! She'd never met her dad before, and she was absolutely thrilled. Even though Ana Lucia never mentions it, Jade knows she doesn't like Gojyo much, but she adores him and is so ridiculously happy to see him.

She's dating Naruto, who is now about her age. It's weird, because Jaime and Becca are older than her in and in college now. She doesn't really like that, especially when she finds out things about their sex and drug use, but she's still friends with them.

She's also good friends with Son Goku. She used to have a crush on him (much to her Dad's shock and dismay), but they're just friends.
