Before the Game

After Diane left in her plane she was lucky and the Rift did open again for her. Though not sending her back to her own time but on to the future where she ended up staying as once she was there she found out she was pregnant. Kit's full name is Catherine Harper-Holmes, though she goes by Catherine Harper most of the time being called by her nickname of Kit. Though she admits it's odd calling herself by the name of her father she doesn't know it hasn't stopped her yet.

Kit shares her mothers love of aircraft and flying. She started to officially learn to fly at 16 and by 18 held a full private pilots license and notes on it that allowed her to fly different aircraft, including seaplanes which she is proud of saying she can pilot, however unlikely it is she would get to see one. Though being allowed around planes long before then and accompanying her mother on many flights. Starting out as navigator for her mother. This fact seemed to annoy some of her mothers temporary boyfriends, that a kid could read a map better than them most of the time.

By the age of 11 she was capable of stripping down a deHavilland Gypsy six engine to be cleaned and putting it back together with a few minor modifications then to improve fuel efficiency. School for Kit wasn't the best time, the only classes she seemed to do well with were history, maths, design technology and physics. History only by the fact her mother had lived in both periods of history that they were covering. The others because they were needed for keeping the plane in the air and general repairing.

Her relationship with her mother for the majority of their time they get along, though they have their fights and sometimes Kit will assume that it is her fault reminding her of the father she's grown up with out. Diane didn't say much about Owen Kit growing up except that she was like him. Kit has some knowledge about her father, who he was, what he did and that he worked Torchwood. Though she doesn't know anything more than the name of Torchwood though not for trying to track down any information she could.

Sky Gypsy

Formerly owned by Diane given to Kit when she qualified.

Sky Gypsy is a deHavilland Rapide, DH89A with a query as to exactly which Mk she is. Though this is slightly obsolete now as the plane had been modified to improve fuel efficiency as well the electrical systems having been rewired over time by Kit in her spare time.

Commonly called "old girl" by both mother and daughter, the plane is somewhat part of their family.
