Marcus Rogan

Page history last edited by panther nesmith 1 yr ago

Marcus/Marius Rogan is an unusual young man. To begin with, he was conceived in a universe completely different from the one that he was born and raised in. His parents (Belladonna Rogan and Alex Rogan) were the shadow leaders of a small island off the coast of Africa called Genosha, and he was raised with a portion of the training to be both a starfighter and an assassin.

He also enjoys long walks on the beach and playing his guitar, which is much more important to him that his knowledge of weaponry and uncanny dexterity. However, his favorite thing is his mutant power: he is able to manipulate the time stream, taking himself and who or whatever he's touching backward in time. In his first appearance in UTR, he was a young man, and only stayed for a short period of time before returning home.  Now he is thirty two, and has made a home in this time period.  Which means he is no longer 'grounded' as his younger self had been, to his time of origin.  He can now travel into the various possible futures, though his powers seem to show no preference in regards of plausibility.  It was quite a shock to him the first time he attempted to return 'home', and found himself in a 1984-type universe.  But he has since experimented, and figured out how this new permutation on his powers works.

He is also able to see, to a small extent, the progression of things in the past. If he were to touch a person, he could see what that person looked like a year ago, or ten, or more, as far back as they had been alive.  This secondary power is quite useful to him in his job as a surgeon, and he has a bright future as a surgeon ahead of him, if he chooses to pursue it.  Though his professors often wonder why he also went back to get a pharmacist's degree, since it's not a usual combination.  However, the fact that he aquired both before he turned thirty is proof enough of his intelligence that they're sure he has some sort of plan.  Which is true.  Marius does indeed have a plan.

His plan is to help his country become the best it possibly can.  He is saving as many lives as possible, and raising the quality of life for the poorer class as much as he can.  When he can afford to, he will do surgeries for only the price of the pieces used, and sometimes even less than that.  He recommends medications, and shows people painstakingly how to administer, and in some cases, manufacture them.  He's only recently begun working for profit, since he was used to living off of his parents' money.

In his free time, Marcus is quite content with going to places in the past and seeing the best of the old days. He has seen the mead halls of the vikings, the geisha of Kyoto, and the hanging gardens of Babylon.  He never stays for more than a day, and tries to alter as little as possible, so that he causes a minimal amount of disruption to the future he's from.  But that policy has changed, now that he's back in a pivotal moment in his country's (and his family's) history.

He decided to bring his sister (Angela Rogan) with him, to see their parents as they rose to prominence in Genosha, and even potentially help right some of the wrongs that slipped past their parents in the forming of the new Genosha. Mostly, though, he did it for kicks, and because he was bored with summer break.  This time, he's gone back to change things in the best way possible.

Marius is strong willed and stubborn. If there is a cause he believes in, he will fight for it with everything he has. He is fiercely protective of his friends and family, and has gotten into more than his share of trouble because of this. Marcus is a passionate young man, and also quite fond of women, though he also respects them a great deal.  However, due to the fact that he's so devoted to his goals, he hasn't had a steady girlfriend for years, and is only starting to date again.

Marcus is an original character, and all Gary Sueness is purely my fault. He is, however, played by Drake Bell (younger) and Justin Timberlake (older), who are in no way myself, nor do I represent or even know them. Their images are used without permission, and I make no profit from their use.

His journal is BoyAnachronism. He replaces no one, since his younger self still exists and was born in UTR. His mun is Panther Nesmith
