Anyone who knows her knows what Meggie did, how she saved the world as we know it and set things right in the end.  But after that?  Well, after that she grew, and she learned to control her power, she's still learning to control it, traveling the world with her book-binder father and her beautiful mother, learning about places and about people and taking correspondence courses for everything else.  If they stayed in one place long enough she had tutors, but she never did go to a real school, she never wanted to after her First Great Adventure.

Even with all the traveling Meggie returned to Italy every summer to help her aunt rebuild the library that was lost that one fateful night.  Meggie also continued to read anything and everything she could, although for obvious reasons she rarely aloud, besideswhich she also continued to write, because she knew the power of the written word, she had seen firsthand just how easily it could change the world, she has occasionally looked into getting her stories published, but as yet hasn't thought about it seriously, she has better, and more important things to do.

When she was old enough she undertook a solemn mission to find other Readers, to let them know that they weren't alone.  But more than that she sought out those that other Readers had brought to this world, so that she could them know that they weren't alone either, and that she could return them home if they wished.
