Robert is the son of Bela Talbot and Dean Winchester.  He's twenty years in his past (which he's sort of disturbed to find out is somewhat par for the course in the vortex-world).  Robert usualy goes by Robbie with his friends and family, to whom he is unflinchingly loyal.  

He's a Winchester through and through.  Despite Bela's best efforts, Robbie found out what his father and his Uncle Sam used to do prior to being vortex'd.  He begged to be trained, and in his own right, is a capable enough (though not as seasoned as his family) hunter.  However, Robbie excels at thievery, something that he picked up from his parents through observation, genetics, and good old-fashioned practice.  Robbie will nick the wallets and belongings of his friends just to see if he can, only to hand them back moments later. Hoping to distance himself from his parents' reputations for thievery, Robbie is a self-taught hacker from an early age.  He's quite good at it, and enjoys the mathmatical and logical puzzle that is getting around firewalls and figuring out how to place keytracking programs. 

Robbie is very much like his father, and wisecracks and makes immature jokes about almost everything.  However, he has enough of his mother's smarts and good old fashioned British sarcasm to keep up with his Uncle Sam's more literary jokes.  He's got a weakness for beer, blondes, and his car (a cherry red '73 GTO).

He replaced a university student that had no declared major and plans to enroll in computer science.

Since Arrival

Robbie has since enrolled in the computer science program at his university, and is enjoying himself.  He lives with his parents for the time being, since their house is huge enough for the entire family and then some (and the dorms would suck). He's glad that his mates Cassidy Turner and Soren Skwigelf are the same age (and that his other friend, Teja Wartooth is nearly the same) as he remembers.

Upon arrival, he'd realized a fairly substantial crush on Skadi Skwigelf, but her betrayal of his trust and subsequent de-vortexing led him to a brief depressive state wherein he drank a bit too much.  When his friends noticed and called him out on it, he decided to stop drinking and try to get out and do more things to distract himself instead.  On one of those outings, he struck up a friendship/relationship with Torii Sou that has since grown into his first actual girlfriend. 

Since the M2: Genetic Boogaloo plot, Robbie has the unique ability to physically injure people through the internet, including anything hooked up to WiFi (cell phones, XBox Live, etc.).
