Sharpay Evans is a young woman with a destiny to be famous, adored and envied.  Sharpay comes to UNDER THE RAINBOW just after graduation from East High and has replaced a "reality" television star.

Personality

Sharpay spent her teen years as both the most popular and envied girls at East High School, but also as one of its most resented.  She accepted the first part as her due, thanks to her enormous talent as an entertainer and her hard work with the Drama Club and accepted the second as part of the price of being ambitious and assertive.  It had more to do, she came to learn, with being the price for being stuck up and manipulative.

Despite her best efforts to the contrary, by the end of Senior Year, Sharpay had made good friends with students from all walks of High School life, had started to learn the value of generosity and companionship, and sort of cared about how she treated the people around her.

Her dream is and always has been to be a star, and she's willing to pursue that dream with everything she's got.  Having grown up wealthy, Sharpay is accustomed to the good life and will accept nothing less.

UTR History

Sharpay arrives in UTR not long after graduating from East High.

She has replaced a minor celebrity best known for having been the star of the music channel's scripted-"reality" series Redondo Beach before leaving to pursue her own interests.

Character Notes

Sharpay's PB is Ashley Tisdale, the actress who portrayed her in the High School Musical movies.  Her IJ is Primo Girl.
