Vital Stats
.Age: 21
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 195 lbs.
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Blue
Occupation: He writes the "Ask A Guy" column for a few well known women's magazines, has a part time job dancing/waiting tables at The Snake Pit in New Orleans, and is a published novellist.
Soren is the son of Skwisgaar and Lulu Skwigelf, but all grown up. He's a UtR baby, so the crazy wackiness of the universe doesn't surprise him as much anymore. When the Vortex picks him up at twenty years old and drops him back in time about a month after his conception, he's fairly weirded out at first but eventually finds himself growing used to things and even preferring them in his past.
He's essentially the conglomeration of his parents. He inherited their bluntness (though his friend Bill Turner helped to teach him some tact), as well as inheriting their standoffishness. However, most of the time, he's quick to warm up to people. Once he does, he's a huge cuddleslut (clearly learned from Toki or Miniver). Quite the wisecracker, he's almost never seen without his best friend/soulmate Cassidy Turner.
Soren was born in Stockholm, but managed to shuffle between the completed Mordhaus in America, his father's cabin in Sweden, and spending time in London with his friends. He has dual citizenship in London and Sweden (due to his mother's birth certificate saying she was born there), and is allowed to live in the United States. His accent is an odd conglomeration of Swedish, East-end Londoner, and non-regional American. His speech is peppered with British slang, American surfer, and Skwisgaar-isms.
Soren did well in school. As a child, he was fairly hyperactive, but his mother taught him black mage spells to help him channel and focus. (He's not quite as good a mage as her, but he's still decent. He's managed to find a lot of practical applications for black magic that even she finds amazing.) After graduating high school in the top twenty percent of his class, he figured he'd move onto college. He enrolled in a BA literature program but dropped out after three semesters, finding it useless. He floated around from job to job, only using his father's fortune when he needed to.
Now he's here, in his past, and he replaced the guy who writes those insipid "Ask A Guy" columns for Cosmo and the like - a job he loves, as it's easy and he gets paid pretty well for it.
Since Arrival
Soren's fit in very well, and now has a life he wouldn't dare leave behind. Bill Turner gave him and Cassidy a house on an island in the Carribean where the two struck up a romance that was always brewing behind the surface. He also started dating (and married) Cassidy's cousin Sable Harris.(Soren and Sable have since divorced, due to their inability to get along and Soren's unearthly devotion to Cassidy.) Cassidy's wife Henriette Stillman lives with them on the island, and Soren's totally content with the foursome's unconventional arrangement, as he adores Henn and counts her one of his best friends. He has since also married Cassidy, his soul mate. He knows it's unique, but he loves his life.
He's since also gotten a few children's books published (about Sable, of course) and is starting a band with his friend Teja Wartooth. He currently has three jobs: the book-writing, the magazine column writing (which takes almost no time at all), and he dances/waits tables part time at The Snake Pit with Henn. He's also taught himself a bit of White Magic in between band practices.
Soren's since gotten over his fear of needles enough to get tattoos. He has the following: forget-me-nots that have a C and a S hidden in the greenery on his left forearm going to his elbow, a square on his back made of four lines (the top line is a line of musical notes - a bar from the song Soren's father wrote for him - that moves to a downward line of forget-me-nots that moves to a horizontal line that looks like Shadow that moves to a vertical line that looks like a throwing dagger) (he has had these removed by Sadako Yamamura), the words "and nobody hurt" on his hip in Cass' handwriting, and Cass' name on the knuckles of his right hand. He also has an ampallang, but nobody really knows that but people who have cause to see him with his pants down.
