Sylar(future) is of the Five Years Gone verse. He's taken from the time between getting Claire's power and confronting Peter. Throughout his whole time as President he has been seeking out the people with powers, and he has been doing this because that way he can find the powers that he wants and take them, and no one asks questions as he's managed to put a certain fear over abilities. He's powerhungry, or powercrazed really, always wanting more, so much more, which has lead him to the point where he almost doesn't have control over them all. Keyword here being almost. He still wants more powers, of course he does, it's all he thinks about, and he doesn't let much, or anything really get in his way.
