Physical Description: The Joker is taller than he looks but not as tall as you expect him to be. His usually somewhat hunched posture doesn't help much. He face is covered in face paint almost all the time, his lips gash red and his eyes rimmed with black, the rest plastered with whiteface that is textured and cragged with lines. His hair is usually greasy and looks like it's never seen a comb. His clothes, by comparison, are relatively neat, and he takes pride in his custom purple suit. He wears a long purple jacket with tails and purple pinstripe pants. Beneath the jacket he wears a blue hexagon print shirt, with dark green vest over that and a grey blazer over that. Needless to say, he has alot of pockets.

Scars: They've got a story, but he seems to be the only person in the world who knows the truth about them. Whether it was him or someone else who sliced the now iconic scars that stretch from the corners of his mouth, they are gruesome. Pebbled and thick, they are constantly outlined in that ghastly red that highlights how grotesque they are, making people recoil all the more.

Weapons: Knives. The Joker is willing to use guns, but finds them cheap and unfair. Unfair to him, because they cheat him out of a good time by moving so fast.

Personality

The Joker's history seems to be a mystery to everyone, and perhaps even a mystery to himself. He's told so many stories over the past year or so that he's not even sure he can remember which one was true, if any. He hasn't fully forgotten, though. He had a bad day. A bad, bad day, a long time ago. If you ask him, don't expect to tell. If psychics go into his mind, they find a hall of mirrors, each one more fractured than the last. The Joker's mind is a frightening, sharp, dangerous place.

And he is sharp. He giggles, he minces, he sings Disney songs. He cries at old movies. And he'll happily kill you, your kids, and the dog. As a result of his general psychosis he is often underestimated, just one more laughing fool. But beneath the insanity, or, perhaps, in spite of it, his mind is a constantly moving thing, always churning out the last idea anyone would expect. He doesn't plan, he just does. And this is why people are terrified of him. He seems to have no filter, doing whatever seems like a good idea at the time.

History

What happened first is a mystery. A bad childhood. A beast of a father, a cowed mother. Vague facts. Perhaps a wife, perhaps a girlfriend, perhaps no one. One thing is sure--somewhere along the line The Joker had a bad day. It is all it takes, you know.

Then, this happened.

Where the end and the beggining mesh is when The Joker was being taken away in a squad car, bound for Arkham asylum and months of psychiatric treatment. But somewhere between hanging upside down and Arkham, a tornado sprang up. The Joker suddenly found himself free in a totally new town, a new world.

After Arriving

The Joker immediately started trouble. First he blew up the New York Times building, injuring and killing quite a few people. A few days after this, he kidnapped Gambit, who offered himself up in exchange for the safety of his loved ones. The Joker beat him, kissed him, and cut out his tongue before they were through. Then, surpris surprise, Batman swung in and spoiled his fun. The Joker was sent to jail, if only for a few weeks, and then escaped. He is currently doing his best to lie low and irritate everyone as much as possible without getting caught a second time. It's only a matter of time before he does something new and terrible. The question is, how much time?

And then there is the note of Candy Quackenbush. The pair met on the boards very soon after The Joker appeared in UTR, and he fell head over heels for her. Whether it's true love or just a bizarre infatuation, this bizarre obsession with Candy has stuck. Despite the fact that she has a boyfriend and is only 16 years old, The Joker will not be discouraged. It seems that the more she tells him she doesn't care for him, the more he fights to win her over.
