Torii-Sou is the youngest of the Wartooth-Meanswell clan, and is sadly both colorblind and tone-deaf.  She makes up for this, however, by being the one who got all the brains in the family.

She’s not a genius by any stretch, but she knows a little bit about a whole lot of things.  Brenda Annn has often said that Torii is like a sponge, that she sits and soaks up information, and when you squeeze her it all leaks out again in bits and pieces, like an informational grab-bag, you never know what you’re going to learn!

This fact goes a long way towards explaining why the family likes to hug her so much.

The purple chunks in her hair are totally natural thanks to her mother’s side of the family, and the habit of talking to fish is from her father’s.

She also gets her sweet tooth from her father, though hers is strictly in the form of gum or lolipops, never both at once, that's hersey as far as she's concerned.

No one's really sure where Torii got the brains from, they don't really run in the family, and it's been speculated that she is the cumulative intelligence of both sides of the family for the past few hundred years.  As far as she's concerned it's just the familial trait of having a brain like a steel trap, hers just holds onto trivia is all.
